Title: osage static recurve for Chris 70/28 (No. 25)
Post by: simson on April 17, 2013, 01:25:12 pm
Well, after reorganizing my photos, I found one which I think is worth to show here. I made this one already last year as a gift for my friend Chris. Maybe some of you folks know this bow already from PP, please excuse that.

The bow is 56" ntn, horn wedges in the tips, corean style tip design, arrow pass is horn inlay;

nice tips! never seen that, like some stylized mini-siyahs. what's it with the horn insert? to prevent the bend from pulling out or for nice looks?
sweet tiller as well. You've been posting some real nice bows lately.

no, always the same handle on that bow. Perhaps you have this bow

the horn wedge and the glue lines stiffens up the lever, so you need less wood = less mass

yeah, will show a buildalong on one of the next bows

Thank you all for your nice compliments
