Title: Snake skin backing all the way around?

Maybe I made this up or maybe I've seen it somewhere but I'm sure yall will set me straight. Can you wrap the entire limb in snake skin? What I mean is can you strip the skin inside out without splitting it and slide it or roll it over the limb (for lack of a better example kinda like a condom)? If so....pics please. In the meantime I'll try to think of where I came up with that concept

I've read about some NDNs (I think plains and plateau) doing exactly that with fresh snakeskins (yes kind of like a condom). Slide them on fresh over a sinewed bow and let them dry/shrink to fit. I even think there is an example described/illustrated in one of the TBBs wrapped with garter snake - black with green parallel lines running the length of the bow.
