I made the smaller corner notch first this morning. Then I picked up a palm sized spall with the idea of making a basal notch andice. After thinning, I started punch notching and quickly blew both sides out. So I trimmed it down and salvaged the piece with corner notches. Guess it helps to stay flexible! ::)

Those are both punch notched?
You've been a machine lately!! Nice work, I like the "eye" on the right one. dpg

Thanks Derik. Actually, I notched both of these with pressure, but I tried punching the right one before changing direction. Need to work on the punching a little more I guess.

Scott, nice save, great lookin material, Burlinton?
-
Yep, or at least, what passes for Burlington in my part of the country. I find it in the creeks and heat it in the kiln. If I go to a show and see Burlington for sale, it never looks like my stuff. Think I've heard it called high ridge before, but I just call it brown CO.

Good looking points Scott ! Maybe Will will get a short break and demonstrate successful punch notching at the Classic :)

VERY nice! Like the others said, you are a machine! :) I'm sure I'll get some pit time in, probably a little later in the evenings... and anyone that comes early. I'll be there from Tuesday night on.

Really looking forward to it Will. I should be there Thursday around noon and plan to spend some time in the pit. I'll bring a little of my rock down so you all can get a taste of it.

I wouldn't mind your "blowouts", at all, Scott. I'll see you in the pit, too.

Nice clean notches. Two well made points always a fan.
