Title: TN Black Andice
Post by: Will H on March 12, 2013, 07:07:09 pm
Here's one I knocked out yesterday. I absolutely love me some Black ft Payne. It smells like diesel when you hit it and for some reason I have come to like that  ::) Maybe cause it's the first material I found a source of when I moved to TN. Don't know but this is the first time I've done a basal notch with it. Seems to handle it just fine :) thanks fer lookin!

I've gotta sit down and watch how you punch notch at the Classic this year. Very cool point! My first experience with that stuff was at the Classic about four years ago and I couldn't over the petroleum smell too it.

Do you punch them on a table or on your leg that is a killer point.

Thanks Rob, I have a board that I use. I glued a piece of leather to it for a nicer work surface. I place the preform on a piece of moose leather to elevate it slightly and punch em in ;) I'll post a pic of my tools and such on the next one I do. I got some nice horse creek that I plan on notching soon ;)
