Just finished this one up for Dana. its bamboo backed ipe. Brazilian koa riser, phenolic cherry and ipe tips. 62" ntn. I had it tillered it to 60# but he wanted his older daughter and wife to be able to shoot it so i dropped the weight to 45@28" they pull about 25". Ill get a full draw pic from him when he gets it.

Thanks Pat! I have made a few F $#@@^&^/$$ bows as well but just too busy to get on here much. Bow making time is very limited nowadays. I'll tell the yooper hi from ya ;D

I just made my first BBI last week, man I have a whole new appreciation for laminated bows! Yours are always superb :) I'm sure that one even at 45# really spits an arrow :o Thanks for sharing!

Looks very nice..! 8) How many inches of reflex ya got into it.? That is glued in R/D correct and not steamed.?

sharp bow like the riser.

very classy looking. awesome finish work.

That is awesome!!! How wide is your bow from fade to tips. I have a piece that of Ipe that is just a 1/16 shy of 1.25 inches. Figured I may try a Tri lam soon!!
Thanks Justin

yes glued . looks deceiving in the other picture. Here it is before it is finished out. It has about 2" reflex past the back of the handle but much more from the bottom of the deflex. this one is 1 1/8" wide to mid limb then straight taper. You can make ipe bows as narrow as 3/4" if you like but this design is better and more stable at this width.

Booyeah thats a beauty for sure. I say laminated bow of the month candidate. Really superb design and execution and the color blends are stunning. Danny

Thanks guys.
Pappy I would love to make it back there. I think about it often. This year Im heading to grand tetons but I plan to come next year.

Wonderful craftsmanship on that bow, just wonderful...
-
That's as pretty a wood combo as I've seen!!!
Being all wood will your bow hold all that reflex over time ???
I am in awe of that profile !!!
-
Thanks Gordon :)

[/quote] I don't see why not. Bows I have made years ago still have the same profile and weight. Every bow takes some degree of set while building and breaking in. After that it's good to go unless it's overly abused.

Very Nice!
-
I really like that unstrung profile. Some sweet curves there.
