Ok so I want to build a board bow but how would I go about cutting it is I have no table saw or large cutting tools. Would the person at the store be able to cut the shape
-
The person building the bow generally makes the board into a bow shape.

Hand saw, hachet , rasp and safety glasses.

Good point

YOU are the bowyer, YOU need to cut the board into shape. Making a bow isn't about power tooling a piece of wood down to the lines. It's a craft.
No need to use power tools. Do you think cavemen had power tools? :P Plenty of handtools are used.

If this is your first bow let it bend in the handle. No glued on pieces. 1.5 in wide will get you 50-55# while 1 3/8 in wide will get you 45-40 if you do your job. They'll rip it for you. A handsaw will get the length and my site will help you. Choose a straight grained board. Jawge
