Title: recommend a bow building book explaining lamination?
Post by: rapaport on February 06, 2013, 08:59:26 am
I am trying to find a book that explaines how to build laminated bows with wood selection and workshop setup and tools ect... I would like to learn to build a nice hickory bow with a good laminated bamboo back and a nice darkwood handle/riser. I would like to try fiberglass also.  A book with atleast two styles of bows. Thanks guys.

dean torges video on bamboo backed bows, and bingham archery supply.
i am unsure about the fiberglass thing but don't know of just one book
to cover both subjects. dean has an inexpensive way jig set up thats also
versatile if you have enough clamps. bingham has the supplies for building
fiberglass bows. including glue up system that is fantastic for bamboo backed
     bows. hope this helps
