And it was a success!
I was laying in bed looking over a knife I got for my father in a trade with Stringman, who is an awesome craftsman and nice guy. I traded a piece of what I thought to be snakey osage (actually was black locust) and a little spare cash for two stone knives, one with an antler handle and one with a turkey leg handle. When stringman let me know the wood I sent him wasn't in fact osage, he was cool enough to still honor our deal and send me the turkey handle knife for the money i sent him. (pic of my dad's birthday present turkey knife below)
So any way, I'm laying around playing with the knife and decide to try my hand at knapping again. Cut some tines off an antler, cut the bottom off a bottle, and an hour later I came up with this little number. Always understood the principles behind knapping, something just clicked tonight and I made it happen. It was an exciting break through and I think I found myself something to keep me in out've the cold and off the staves for a bit. No particular style, and not sure how much she weighs, but she's sharp and i made it! :D hope ya like it!

Looks nice. It would make the blood flow. Now make some more.

Nice arrowhead. I've been knapping glass bottle bottoms too. I like the idea of having the glass shards land in a cardboard box. Thanks for the idea and I want to see that arrowhead mounted on an arrow ;)

Nothing wrong with that point, Tom!! Glad I inspired ya to give it a go!

I am very impressed you made that ABO. Keep it up and dont think outside the box or you could get in trouble.

Thanks for looking boys!
Tim- The cardboard box works best with an old t-shirt lining the inside. Without it the flakes still want to jump around.
Can't wait to mount her! Have to straighten some shafts first
