The ugly light fixture in he dining room was replaced and the glass was sacrifice to the junk pile. It was pretty thick stuff so I was able to work the cuvature out and still make this little point. I'm not much of a glass fan so I wasn't terribly concerned with authenticity.  ::)

Just playing around. Looks like you were pretty serious . That's a nice point. I know this is going to sound wrong. Maybe I should come over to your sand box & play.
