Went out yesterday afternoon and found this guy working his way down a trail i was watching. I was on the Brazos River, in a make shift ground blind, up on a ridge over looking the river. He was heading straight for me when a large boar came from the opposite direction on the same trail. The boar paused and looked at the deer causing the deer to turned and headed up the river bank behind me. He paused at about 18-20 yards from me and stared at the boar, which gave me a chance to reposition and get a shot off. He was a nice tweleve point who had 4 tines broke off so i guess he is actually an 8 point.

Wow! That's a good buck! Congrats!! Do you have a pic of the bow and the buck?
-
Thanks all. I did not have my bow with me. I took my gear to my truck, while waiting for him to expire. I shot him close to last light, and it was cold. After warming up about 45 min i went after him. Where i shot him was about a mile and a half walk, so i quartered him in the field and packed him out.
Here is the bow with last years buck.
