I have also thought of making light arrows from fiberglass tubing. The fiberglass arrows I have bought are too stiff. Has anyone tried 1/4 fiberglass tubing? I see several websites with reasonable prices for them.
Again, these would be for my daughter, 12, using about a 20 lb bow.

F F Fiber what? No speekie that language. Just run down to Lowes and get some 1/4" poplar dowels. Check the grain to make sure there aren't any run outs. She won't need anything lighter than that. I may have some poplar shoots that are that light if you are interested. Maybe even some wild rose too.

I am going to try that too. Lowe's here has fairly decent poplar dowels. I can order 1/4 points & nocks from 3 Rivers. Am doing that & will strip feathers from some old broken arrows. I have also started collecting goose feathers from a nearby pond.
Thanks
