Title: Bone knife w/ koa
Post by: raghorns on December 20, 2012, 06:51:13 pm
My brother brought back some koa wood from his trip to Hawaii...He had some lams made for a future bow, so I thought I would make him a knife to go with the bow...the handle and blade are both bone and the wood base and handle end are koa.

Very nicely done.  Not only is it a great looking knife but your display is excellent too.

Really cool!  Normally, I've seen bases used just to display an item, but your base is a piece of art in and of itself!  It really complements the knife.  I'm sure he'll love it!

Great looking knife.  I really like the color contrast between the Koa wood and the bone. :)
