Dowell rods to make some arras,going to manage the tree rat population wednesday.3/8???

i was thinkin' 3/8 'cause they would be stiffer

Gene, there is a fellow who brings his arrow spiner with him to Lowes etc and sits on the floor and checks them. I personally would go with the 3/8 myself.

A lot depends on the bow. I spined some 3/8" birch recently that went from the 80's to the low 100's. If you leave them long, they will shoot for you, but if you need a lighter spine go with the 5/16, which are mostly around 45# or so.
