i have some crappy small spalls of unknown type of stone lying around home ill trade for some staves. they flake like flint but i dont know. ill try and put up some pictures

yep they are they have a horrible face and flake poorly but they do flake
im not like alot of others im honest about it. i just want to connect with other primitive bow makers and learn from them.
i have taught myself and only myself and i have learned all i can on my own. now i just want to learn what others have to share and do what i can do and to put those skills to good use.

Kind of makes me think of tortilla flint.

There is a similar looking material here in Texas. It works great when heat treated. Tower
