Title: Snake an 'sage
Post by: Stringman on November 20, 2012, 08:43:33 pm: Started work on this bow a couple months ago with the though that this would be my trade bow. Unfortunately it came in a little light so it is destined to go another route.

It is finished with diamondbacks and mesquite tips from Cipriano and brain tan on the handle wrap.

It draws about 40# @ 26" and is smooth as they come. Overall it is a nice little shooter at 64" and feels good in the hand.

Had a couple come in under weight for me lately too, happens once in a while. :)

Post by: soy on November 20, 2012, 11:30:25 pm: Had to go back a couple times look at the pictures something just wasn't right the scenario... and then it dawned on me the trees in the back leen 1 way in the tree in the front another :-\ I really like how that mesquite looks with the Osageso, gonna have to get me some >:D

I originally had a wood handle glued on but it popped off cause of bend in the handle. So I went with laminated leather and it worked great. Not my favorite way to add a handle, but it worked on this bow. Flexes just enough with the bend and feels good in the hand.
