Title: Snake an 'sage
Post by: Stringman on November 20, 2012, 08:43:33 pm
Started work on this bow a couple months ago with the though that this would be my trade bow. Unfortunately it came in a little light so it is destined to go another route.

It is finished with diamondbacks and mesquite tips from Cipriano and brain tan on the handle wrap.

It draws about 40# @ 26" and is smooth as they come. Overall it is a nice little shooter at 64" and feels good in the hand.

Great looking bow Stringman. Nice workmanship and that full draw bend is just pretty, looks like it would have good cast for that weight.
Had a couple come in under weight for me lately too, happens once in a while.  :)

NIIIICEEE! Even though it came in under weight i bet that's still effective. A well-crafted bow like that, even at lower weight like that, is still an effective weapon!

Thanks guys.

I originally had a wood handle glued on but it popped off cause of bend in the handle. So I went with laminated leather and it worked great. Not my favorite way to add a handle, but it worked on this bow. Flexes just enough with the bend and feels good in the hand.

Thad, give me a call and we'll get you hooked up. I've got some I can spare.
