Title: Bandsaw Blade ?

Any advantage of have a 3 TPI blade over a 4 TPI?

for what you're doing, yes.  You don't need finer cuts that the extra tooth will bring, but the 3 tooth will have a deeper throat to clear chips faster; little less thermal stress on your blade and more efficient cutting.

I use both of them, in the "hook" set. both cut about the same but the 4 tooth needs less clean up. Now I just use the 4 hook for everything from cutting down staves to shape, to lumber I've milled myself as thick as 4" and have had no issues. Just my experience though
