Title: Fun with Crystal
Post by: gstoneberg on September 25, 2012, 11:43:12 pm
I worked some raw rock I received from a friend from his hog lease.  Man was it hard.  I could not thin it for a long time but finally with a big whack I found the problem.  There was a big streak of some kind of crystal through the center of the spall.  I got a point, but it isn't a looker.  Not sure what kind of stone this is.

That's cool, George. It looks like it might have some calcified sand in it.
