Im looking for some kind of stave be it osage or some other stave. Near all of my bows were boards (about 3) Im looking to work something out so i can get to work on it :)

osage is tough beginner wood, you often have to deal with twist, knots, and you'll have to chase a growth ring. Try looking for some hickory instead, you'll have better luck getting your hands on it and it will be easier to work with. Osage is awesome though....!

If its one of your first you should try starting from scratch hickory and hop hornbeam make good bows without chasing rings

On the other hand, osage is pretty forgiving and often forces the builder to slow down, spend a little more time catching your breath and thinking about what it is you are doing.

i will be getting some from one of the members, but in any case it will be wet, so that means i will have to leave it in my garage for several months. That gives me plenty of time before i start on one or two of them.

Mr. Muff, (hehe, ;D), I might not be able to come through with that osage for you. The couple tree's I was planning on cutting didn't go as planned, and I couldn't get the main one I wanted down at all, so I guess I can't guarantee anything for certain. I will send you a PM if I do though.
