Heres one I made more recently, couple months ago. Made from a vertical growing 4" osage branch. Had big prop. twist to it , approx. 60 degrees that came right out after only 10 minutes of heating and wrenching, after that this one finished up fairly easily. 57" ntn osage, 1 3/16" wide at handle, 7/16" at tips and 57# @ 25' draw.
Had to wrap a couple pin knots that were close to the edges with sinew.
This skinny stick has some pop to it and I like the way it handles. Thanks for looking.

Just a couple more.

Cool bow. You don't see many with stain. Nice job.
-
Simple and effective. Just my kind of bow! 8) ...draw weight and length are just about perfect! ::)
-
That's pretty cool. Is the back stained? I can't tell if it's stain or an interesting backing.
-
Good looking bow,love it. :)

Very pretty and looks a joy to use.
-
I like it. You and I are cut from the same piece of cloth.

Thanks DVShunter
Thanks Pat, yeah this length and draw weight combo work well for me.
Ajmag, the finish on the back is leather dye with painted design work.
Thanks Pappy .
Thanks dwardo.
Thanks JonW, yeah when I saw your last elm bow posted I thought to my self now that bow really suits my style.
-
Nice stick! 8) The sinew and the dye make for a nice contrast on the back. Cool style overall!
-
Lot to be said about limb bows! Love it!

I couldn't say anything bad about that bow if I tried, any negative comments about it would be lies anyway!
That Lily Lake Osage is a perfect example of what I think is the best of primitive archery...purity of form, simplicity in the extreme, functionality embodied. Maybe you need to correct your usename to "Well Bent".

She lays right flat unbraced. Thats what I look for first in a good bow. Good job.
-
Very nice stick... just right for hunting!!
-
Compliments and aspiration to do so well with my next bow.
-
Very nice looking bow. Should be a good hunting bow!

Thanks JW I like the way you described my bow, appreciate the kind words.
Thanks PD I like that lay flat unbraced profile too and this one seems to bounce right back right after unstringing.
Thanks Coaster I think this one will get out in the deer woods a few times this fall.
Thanks Onebow.
