Don gave me several preforms to play with. Tonight I finished this blade. I had a terrible time with steps on just one side of one edge, not sure what I was doing wrong. I unexpectedly knocked off one massive flake, almost an overshoot, right dead center in the blade. Wish I could do that when I need to. Once the point was thinnest in the center I really babied it on both ends. Felt pretty lucky to get a point out of it. Didn't notch it, I think I'll look for an antler to haft it to and then notch it to fit. First, the overshoot side...

and the other side.

Thanks Don. :)

You can be plenty pleased with that! Nice work and it will make a nice knife for ya!!

Thanks guys, but as you know Don's preforms are THIN! Makes getting a nice point a whole lot easier. He gave me a little round rootbeer preform and I haven't decided what to make with it. It is scary thin. Anyway I appreciate the comments and the handle suggestions. Not sure where to find cholla down here, but I do love the knives I've seen hafted onto it.
