Title: Tx rootbeer point.
Post by: Tower on May 17, 2012, 03:50:50 pm
I've been working a lot of raw local rock lately. I've found some pretty good stuff. Most of it has been that bluish grey . Gooood stuff! This point is made from some rootbeer I found. My notches stalled so I couldn't go any deeper w/them. 2 3/8 long & 1 5/8 wide. Tower

Wow.....that is great.  When I get better and actually have some idea of what I am doing I need to find some of that rock.  Right now I think I should stick with rootbeer bottles >:D

Super point! But I always seem to focus on your boots?!?  :-\

Try to let the camera focus on your hand then move it to center the shot on the point. Some cameras will let you hold the button for the focus then let go for the shutter to "close." As beautiful as your stuff is it's a shame not to let people see them better.

I like all the flakes in the floor board of the truck. Do you do a lot of knapping in the truck Don.

Lots of knapping in the truck. Flint flakes every where.Everyone keeps telling me if I ever roll my truck I wouldn't have a snowballs chance of surviving.

Don I sure wasnt tryin to be critical. i just noticed that ur phone was tryin to do the same thing that mine wants to -always focuses on the wrong thing. Just thought if I could see it better maybe I could find the flaws.. (J/k, havin held several I already know there aint none!)  ;)

Your work is stellar my friend! The one guy I know that can make points outta flakes that look like they came from slabs. Very close attention to detail!
