Title: $1.50 Yard sale hatchet (pic heavy )

Found this jewel at a yard sale yesterday, along with a couple other things. Spent yesterday afternoon cleaning it up, I think I'm gonna be proud of it when I'm finished...... :)

Found a chunck of maple in the woodshed ( I would've rather had hickory , but ....... I had the maple ;) ) .........

Put it together:)  Looking good so far. Polish the head some more , stain the handle, add a lanyard and a belt sheath, and I think I'm gonna like it alot  ;D

nice! i finished one just like it , i need to post a pic .. great little hatchets and 1.50 can't beat that.

polished the head some more and put some stain on the handle........ It's coming along nicely  :) Couple more coats of stain, some poly , and it's gonna be looking fine  ;D

Sa, Post a pic of yours if you get a chance. I love old axes , hatchets, hammers, knives, ....... well you know how it is  ;D

Hmmm...... $5 ?  I'll have to think on that awhile , I've kinda took a liking to my new hatchet  ;D ;D
