Title: Facets on Board Bows
Post by: dmc on April 27, 2012, 02:34:19 am
Should a person cut in 1/4 inch facets on a red oak pyramid style bow, or just slightly round off the corners of the belly? I wasn't really sure since it was a pyramid style. When I drew in my facets, it looked  fairly skinny. My board is 3/4 inch thick at the fade, and goes down to 1/2 inch thick at the tip. I've just finished backing my board bow with linen, blood wood handle, and tips, and glued on antler over lays.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Dave
