Title: KS gobbler
Post by: Josh B on April 08, 2012, 01:09:22 am
Soy and his son, Jack, came down to KS to turkey hunt.  The two of them teamed up on this nice eastern tom and Jack ended up arrowing his first longbeard.  I haven't gotten a shot yet, but I am very happy that Soy and his son did manage to bag a bird in the short time that they had to hunt.  I had a great time and hope to do it again sometime.  Here is Jack with his Tom.   Josh

Pappy , I think he used his wheelie bow.  He had his linen backed hickory with him,  but we didn't think a 20# recurve would be adequate .  I guess I should have put this around the campfire.  Josh

Nice bird for anyone just the same, but yes if it was killed with glass or wheels it needs to be around the campfire.I will move it if you are sure. :) Sure ant taking anything away from the youg man. :) :) He should be as I know you are very proud. :) :)
