Anyone make a bow from this wood?

I'm going to. I'm just waiting for leaves to appear, so I can make sure that I cut down the right tree this time.  ::) osoberries at the lower elevations already have flowers, but they're in protected areas.

From what I've heard, it's maybe a lot like ocean spray. Good looking tree; I'm thinking about planting some in the yard.

Yes, they are blooming like crazy now. They grow all over the place by my house. I have never used one, but tried to dry the wood, and it cracked.

I have been keeping my eye out for a larger stave, but there are plenty of smaller stuff out there.  Looks like maybe some good arrow shoots in there too.  If it cracked while drying out, then maybe it is a lot like ocean spray ;D
