my mom recently bought 3 tons of gravel for our drive way and as i was spreading it out i noticed some black rocks in it and they had some sharp edges that looked worn down. so i ran and grabbed my bopper and tried it and it knapped quite well :D so now i have tons of the stuff but i dont know what its called, any idea? im just curious

my dad told me it was flint, there no bigger than a quarter. but it sparks and i didnt even think of that

There is some pretty nice Alibates that comes out of the North Canadian River Rock companies sell the rock for landscape and such. Observant knappers can get some big enough for three inch points if you are lucky and the first knapper to notice a new rock garden at the local resturant. Hint,,,,,Aand W hamburger joint Stillwater OK at least that's what I was told<gg>. Oh one more thing I don't think there are any of larger pieces left unless they have replaced the missing ones.
