Title: New Immortals movie
Post by: DraggingCanoe on March 06, 2012, 01:56:43 am
Now I don't know much about the plot of this movie, but am I the only one who has a problem with an ancient greek hero running around with a golden takedown recurve? Google image search "immortals movie bow" and you'll see what I mean.

I sid see that one, but it's actually Mickey Rourke's character's bow. The young guy's bow is a takedown.

Hey it was made by the gods... it looks like gold but it could be anodized spring ... urrrrrr.. aluminum or titanium.

Oh wait!  They could have gilt a regular bow!.

Hang on!  I have some gold leav left from a sign I carved.  How to put that on a bow! ? ?  A completely gilt bow would be WAY expensive and not practicle . . . but some sort of design???

the gold's not they problem (they are gods, you know :)) It's the 2,500 year old bolt on limbs.

It did look completely out of place in the movie. But is it only that noticable to us bow nuts?

Egad Y'all...

That bow looks like an Academy Sporting Goods Special, spray painted with that Spackle Paint then finished off with a coat of Gold Gloss Rustolium.
And the Armor ain't any better either.

Maybe they spent the money on the Plot???
