I made my largest point this afternoon knapping with Gus. It's either going to be a large point or a small blade for a knife. Not sure which to do. What do you think?

And, if I do a point, what notches? Gus is good luck... ;D I'm really surprised I made it through that concrete.

Ooooh, man great edges & sharp point. I don't think it will matter what you do. It will look good. Well done!

Very nicely done, George. Now would be a good time to practice Punch Notching ;D. Awww just kidding. ;)

Thanks. I weighed it and, even though it's quite thin, at 220 grains it is too heavy to be a point. Looks like a blade now to me.
I made a point before this one out of another raw small spall. I knocked the tip off it so it is shorter than I hoped. Had a couple steps, but looks OK in the light. I see my symmetry isn't the best on it.

Eddie, I still haven't mastered regular notches... I really appreciate all the help and support guys. :)

Looks like either will do a good job for you. Looking good sir.
