I've got a hankering to do a a take down, 2 piece.
There must be 6 billion junipers right outside my front door. The only issue is finding a strait piece. There are a ton of great 40 inch pieces and few 60 inchers. I like it a bunch so far, much easier to work than my old stand bys.
Advise me on a take down set up.
Things to consider...
Cost vs. availability vs. ease of use vs. coolness.
What would you want?
From both a builder and a users perspective.

Two metallic sleeves of sorts is about the only type I have seen for selfbows. Im n ot sure how many options in price or style you have?
-
I dunno.
Ive seen all sorts of wacky stuff with glass bows. Just curious if there were any other options.
-
There was a thread here? or on TG. A guy built his own sleeve using FG cloth.

i used the small metal sleeve from 3 rivers archery. it added a lot of mass to the bow's handle. it just took more prep work. i really liked the results and wont hesitate to build another in the future
