Hey, All
Just finishing tiller on a short yew recurve. Just the money shots for now. More details to come when she's finished. It was a marginal piece of yew, so I didn't ask too much... 30#@24". I'm considering sinew backing, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Might give it to one of the kids in our archery group, or to my wife!

Thanks everybody! I can't wait to finish it up either! Actually, I was a bit off on the weight... it's actually 35#@24". I was worried about over-drawing it, and wasn't paying close enough attention to my scale.
It is 58" ntn. I put some osage tip overlays on it, to protect the soft yew tips. I'll post some more pics when she's finished up.

Yah, I think you may be right. Yew looks good with some gloss to really bring out the grain.
