Where theirs a will theirs a way Tracy and looks like you figured it out. Good looking points there. I gues that's some of your hornestone?
-
Yeah, that some of the bigger nodules I got from the same area you went to. I think you can copy/paste pics from the host site and put them here but that will be another day. Just takes more step/work to do what I use to be able to do.

Tracy, hover over the image, a drop down menu will appear. Go down to the one that starts with IMG and click on it. It should say copied, then just paste it here.

Look what you've done now Justin ;)

Nice points Tracy, is that stuff blue? ???
-
Them are sweet. What's the material?
-
Looks like some of that Indiana hornstone. Just about the same thing as KY blue and Sonora. Just different grades. Makes a mean arrahead though..
-
Thanks all. Cowboy is correct. It is the north end of that whole chert formation in ky and in. Hard to get some of the better nodules, mostly private access. Going to have to download more pics since I figured out the photo bucket gig.
Take care,
Tracy

Very nice Tracy - what do you want to trade for some of the pretty blue stone? finished knife? obsidian?
-
Thanks George. Went back and read you post from way back and decided to try again.
Ben, pile getting almost flat and won't do another rock run until after deer seaso. I would trade some rock for rock then.
