I have failed on multiple glass points today I got a some rock of witch I have destroyed most of trying to get a flake to work with...boy this is going to take a lot of rock..but I almost have a point!
I can't seam to thin one side I guess any sides for that matter as one was already thin but here it is.

Sorry forget the other side any pointers braking material from the rock so I can try another, and any thinning advice??? :-\ thanks for amy help

I get them like that fairly regular. I think it's all about setting up platforms on the opposite side of the hump, abrading and getting the right hit in the right spot w/ the right amount of pressure. You got that right? :D One thing I can help you with is to say, don't start your notches until almost the finish and keep practicing again and again and again. I had to take a week off because my body was so sore and I had to heal up some bruises and cuts from day in and day out of rock breaking, but I'm about to get back at it. Keep it up, good job. dpgratz

Not bad. That's an easy size to heat treat. An Ishi stick can clean that up. A little more practice & you'll be cranking them out.
