The first snows have fallen in the midelevation Sierra Nevada. The top of the cliff is about 7000 feet. Yosemite Falls is the tallest in North America - what you are seeing is only the top of the fall.

@Lowell - I am an Indian Cultural Demonstrator/Park Ranger. I work in the Indian Museum mostly and other Ranger duties as assigned.

I merged your three topics into one to help keep the message board in order. :) I feel this is a more appropriate board for your topic over the flintknapping board as your post doesn't contain anything about flintknapping. We have the different sections set up to help people more easily navigate our pages and find exactly what they want. All three of your posts are now conveniently located in this one topic now. You have some very beautiful pics by the way! :) :)

I know all jobs have their good and bad points, but Sheesh! I have to say I'm a bit envious.
I think you should start your own ongoing thread of photos so the rest of us can enjoy the window when we're goofing off at work.

@ Josh - Thanks I will keep that in Mind.
@ Parnell - Go to YosemiteConservancy.org they have a Yosemite screen saver for sale and an audio tour of yosemite.
I will do my best to get you all some more pics especially of the nice bucks walking around the valley. Only 15 bears bit including 8 bears confirmed killed by cars here this summer. Last year there were 28! If any of you come back this way let me know before you come so I can be here to meet you!

You never know Ben, that may just happen in the next year or two. It's high on my list.
Thanks for the suggestion.
