Any one got any idea as to what type of rock this is? Its grainy but will flake, just takes a lot of power to strike off the flakes with a hammer stone or moose antler billet. It doesn't flake to great with pressure flaking, too hard and grainy.
-
Was able to make that hand axe using hammer stone and moose antler biller and that little arrowhead pressure flaked with copper.
-
Those two knife blades are both unmodified flakes struck using a hammer stone, the one is from that rock and the other is from a piece of basalt.
-
All of the clear/smoky glass is 1/4 inch thick bronze glass, all pressure flaked with copper. How do you guys think that diamond shaped point would work for hunting? It's a inch and 3/8's wide and a inch and 11/16's long, because its short and wide I think it may not penetrate as well as a long, tapered triangle point would, but since its so wide it would leave a good blood trail.
-
More of the bronze glass points, the last 4 pictures are of the same point.
-
Here’s the diamond point. It wont let me post all of the pictures in the same post.
-
The three blue points are from a scrap stained glass pot melt, it wasn't that great though, wasn't blended enough, they where all made using a moose and deer antler billet.
Thanks for looking.

Love the glass points! They look pretty good, kinda narrow for big game. They would be great for rabbits,& such. As for the stone. I'm not sure what it is , but the fact that you made something out of it with out a jackhammer is amazing. Nice work! Knap-on!

Wholey Bejeezus! I'm with Tower, To get anything out of that crap is amazing. And those are some nice looking Glass points, well done.
