Title: meat on the pole...
Post by: hawkbow on September 23, 2011, 12:44:26 pm
I got lucky and was able to harvest this bull at five yards.. shot with my Yellowstone longbow, cedar arrows and STOS broadheads. He went down in his tracks, then stood up and walked twenty yards before falling again. a big six by seven bull attacked the bull as he was dying and actually picked the dying bull clean off the ground. pretty cool hunt. I actually missed my mark and hit the bull in the throat, severing the windpipe and jugular... but all ended well. hope you enjoy... Hawk.. a/ho

Man, just think if the other bull had come up before you shot!! :o  Way to go.  Good eating for sure.  Yes, sir you got lucky....... a beautiful wife who likes to hunt, and is not too dainty to help pack out dead animals, and take pictures of it.  Congratulations, on both accounts!
