Just finished these 2 up, just need to get sheaths made for them. Both are forged from Aldo's 1084 steel and wrapped with 10-12 feet of paracord.

How'd you get them to be transparent?
-
Ah crap, they showed up there at first. Here's the link if anybody cares to take a look http://www.flickr.com/photos/42240828@N08/6096516160/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/42240828@N08/6096516160/).

Saw them and started to drool. now I need a new keyboard

Thanks guys. I'm getting a little better at shaping with the hammer, but I still had to grind and file quite a bit on these. Got a couple more in the works that are going to be different.
The green doesn't have a home, Eddie. If you want it drop me a line.

will do ;)

Thanks everybody! Chris, I brought them up to non-metallic in my forge and quenched in canola oil. After that I tempered them in the oven at 500 degrees for 2 one hour cycles.
-
Did you let them completely cool between cycles?
-
Yep, I think I waited an hour or so between cycles but they were probably cool enough before then.
-
I want to place an order.. :o
-
I'm sure we can work out some sort of deal, buddy. Finally got an anvil today and I'm building a new forge so hopefully I can start turning them out a little faster.

Sounds good to me
