pics dont do it justice. osage 64"ntn, 53#@26. 1.25" wide to 3/8 tip. started last winter and just couldnt figure out the final tiller. the pics dont show the limb twists that come backand twist the other way. anyway finished it up the other day . another 4am job. put a 100 or so shots through it to see how it held up. had 1" of set and holds 1" of set. shoots where im looking. would of prefered more bend in the handle but hit weight and stopped.

Full draw looks GREAT! That's a good one for sure...Congratz.
-
Jamie, I think you need another bow rack...that's too nice of a bow to haul on your front bumper! ;D You know everyone is going to be wanting full draw pics don't you? ;)
-
thanks guys. greg there is a full pic at the bottom. also if i leave the bow there and hit a deer i can say i was hunting. lol
-
For some reason that last picture didn't show up for me until the second time around? ???
-
Ya you could tell them you killed it with your bow ;D Nice job.Looks from the full draw picture the top limb is bending a little more at mid limb than the bottom, may just be the angle.Nice either way.
Pappy :)

Looks like a real good bow, what else ;)
-
I keep looking for an ugly bow, but don't see one. Great job!

Looks good, Jamie. I like that design bow too. Nice truck. Jawge
-
dane you're right, can't find the ugly bow??
guess pappy is right, too: bit too much bend mid of upper limp (think it's visible in the braced picture, too) ...no big deal i guess, couple of carefull scraper strokes on the lower limb.

Wow- a bow with invisible nock on upper limb. Be handy when trying to hide from game in brush. This is a PA first . :P ;) ;D
Got your bow bookmarked for June Self Bow of the Month for tomorrow :)

I guess I will have to leave the critique to the professionals. I can certainly see what Pappy is referring to in the upper limb. But in the relaxed profile the upper limb looks to have a little bit of a natural R/D profile. If it has as much R/D as it appears, the tiller could be right on. The only way to know for sure would be to handle the bow. Maybe Jamie could tell us for sure. But then again, if it shoots good, why complain anyway. Nice bow Jamie, thanks for sharing. Justin

Looks good, Jamie.

OK OK I wasn't putting the bow down,just thought I would mention it.jamie I love it. :) :) :)
And justin I ant no professional just figured we would share what we see and get some responce
and it worked. ;)

yeah its hard to see from the pics but the limbs go up and down when unbraced. ill try to get a better pic of the unbraced profile. even though the tips look stiff they are unfolding as i draw it. the extra bend in the top limb is from a twist in the limb that twists back. thanks for looking.
-
I like those nice narrow limbs. I got your truck booked for truck of the month, too. ;D

Jamie, in the thread title, are you sure you didn't mean to say "Ugly Dude Drawing Back A Purty Bow?" ;D ;D
-
Jamie,
You don't make ugly bows.

We know what you meant Pappy. I was just unsure, and you have more experience than me. I like to see things pointed out, and discussions had about it. That is how we learn. It doesn't mean we don't like anyones bow, just that we are trying to help. Justin

nice bow. I dont see whats so ugly about it
-
I agree. I don't see an ugly bow at all. Nice one.

hillbilly i think im supposed to say thanks. lol
ive never been one to try and achieve what looks like a perfect tiller. when the bow is bending i look for the areas to all work together not the ideal arc. if the bow takes too much set i know i screwed up. plus ive found i prefer a very stiff lower limb. as far off as 3/4". it seems to make it easier to get the arras to fly true and flat. and im always looking for criticism its the only reason i post. having been doing this for a while now ive learned that i tend to follow my own rules rather than what ive read or what is the norm.. can ya tell. lol. thanks again fellas

By the way jamie It ant ugly.I'm with you if it shoots straight I always like it. :)
