Post by: andy thomas on August 02, 2011, 12:12:23 pm
well i posted up on the for trade section a little while back and half eye answered(i think i made out) . well i finally got out to shoot it today and man this thing is sweet. i have only ever shot a recurve so i was looking forward to see how this bow shot. i will let rich fill in how he made it, but it shoots smooth and right on. hope you guys enjoy the pics as much as i am enjoying this bow. thanks for the trade half-eye!

i also got a response for hillbilly61 and traded for some hill cane shafts. i still need to work on the knocks but had to put them through the bow for the pics.

Very nice bow, Rich.  I don't blame you for jumping at that trade, Andy.

Half eye has done three or four bows in his time, so to speak!   ;)

Looks like you have a nice target and hunting set-up.  Looking forward to you posting something in the hunting column this fall!

Good eye, Ron. The last 5-6 bows I built have that "look". I've been putting an angular deflex right at the grip fade (only the depth of the grip) it "looks" like sting follow but ya can see the limbs are basically straight.....looks funny but makes a really smooth drawing (and longer draw length) bow without giving up any power. Just glad that Andy likes it.

Nothin funny about that look. I'm trying to picture the follow through in my mind. I DO believe I am going to give this a try.
Get ready for some questions kind Sir........BTW...no more picturing in my mind...It hurt without a beer ;D ::) ;D
