Title: skin fish

hello guys, can someone explain how you prepare the fish skin to use it in the back of the bow.

For grass carp you scale the fish first, then skin it out, get all of the meat off of the skin without tearing the skin, wash with Dawn dish soap 2 or 3 times with a nylon brush,  rinse after each scrubbing.  Staple down to a board with the flesh side up, let dry in shade for a day.  It will dry faster with air blowing over it.  apply just like a snake skin.

if you check out the build-along section,there is a skin-along thread by Timo.he is the man.i have a bow by him with grasscarp skin.it won bow of the month.chech it out.it will tell you all you need to know.hope this helps,steve
