Title: little white oak backed epe not bom

this is a littlewhite oak backed epe that I glued up in a gullwing, and the epe pulled most of it out. Its about an inch wide and 60"ntn, my grandson logan was wanting a new bow, and thats what I had that he could draw, it's 45# @ 29" with dyamond nocks(http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/bubncheryl/blade007-9.jpg)

Looks great. I'm assuming that's white oak? Wouldn't think Red Oak would be up to the challenge of being a good backer.  (oops, didn't read the title where it explains it's white oak)

Kudos!  I tried a white oak-backed ipe a couple weeks ago and it snapped at 28" draw due to some minor run-off.  I swore off the white-wood backing for a while, but might come back and give it a try.

John, I have yet to have a white oak backed bow blow, knock on wood, stuff is tough as nails, Bub

Very nice looking bow! I bet it shoots great ;D He could be a little happier  ;D
