Title: Cooking hornstone?
Post by: JEB on June 27, 2011, 10:56:55 am
A friend sent me some rock and she called it hornstone.  Should this be or can this be cooked and if so at what temp?

Work horn stone raw, if you cook it it will be ruined.

Most that I have is in rock form 4 to 6" long 3" wide and 2" or less thick. Has not been struck.

I agree with that. If it truly is hornstone then it works great raw.
