She is 60 inches N2N 45# @ 26". I built it for my wife who wanted a bow worthy on hunting big game with low draw weight. I used the static recurve design with a long handle section with long fades to reduce the area of bending limb but still have a long enough bow to achieve good accuracy and store tremendous energy with no stack. she shoots very fast indeed. I used black horn knocks and black leather shelfs and handle wrap for contrast. I have tested it at 29 inches and being my first self bow I was amazed that she did not explode on me. I do have experience with boo and hickory backed board bows but never a self backed bow. I used steam to straighten the stave and recurve the ends. I made them as thin and narrow as possible as well for more speed. I have on in the works now for my self that is 56 inch ntn after recurved with a heavy sinew back that will be covered with diamond back skin a reflexed handle and recurved tips I will post it when it is finished. I hope to achieve 60 pounds at 26 inches with it. I have read much about it which helped me along and read many of yawls chats which helped to so I though I would post this to see what yawl thought this is my first time on this sight so I hope I am doing this right. also I put a shelf on each side of the handle for lefty or righty shooting.

Looks great to me!!!! I can't wait to see a full draw shot. Nice way to make an entrance by the way welcome aboard!

Thanks Bud I am very pleased with it. the staves I have are very twisted and curved but the steam when a long way with it. I got it perfectly straight with no twist at all. I have a new fascination after making this I don't even care for the laminated bows any more. I will try to get a full draw pic tonight and post it.

Ok here are the full draw pics a few angles some of me drawing it and some of her. my draw is roughly 27 to 28 inches and hers is 25 to 26. I am also posting some photos of my the bow I am working on now for my self. right now I am letting the sinew cure it has been curing for 5 days. Any suggestions on how long I should let it cure this is my first sinew job and It feels very hard but offcourse I can not imagine all the moisture is out of it after soaking it in water before soaking it in glue. any way to speed the process up I do have a heat box but not sure if I should put it in there as I had to steam the stave to get it straight as you can see in one of my photos my staves are far from straight. I also am attaching a photo of my steam set up simple but effective. I hope to get 2 bows out of that stave pictured it is about 5 inches wide. when I chase a ring it might get down to 4.5 inches or less though.

I could not load all photos in one post so here are the rest. my steamer is just a simple wallpaper steamer attached to a 4 inch PVC pipe with end caps and a small hole to release pressure. the small one is for recurving the tips and I fill in the rest of that slot with a rag.

and some more photos lol just thought I would show yall some close ups of the recurve and tips. thanks for all the kind replies

Thanks It is defently one ring there were 2 pin knots right there by the handle in the fade area that I left raised being my rist one I left it a whole ring high around the knots no knowing how high I should raise it. when the bow finished out it does not even bend right there but I left it any how to be sure.
