Title: Snakeskin envy
Post by: dbb on June 08, 2011, 07:12:26 pm
I have been envious of all those pretty snakeskins many of you can buy or collect as roadkills as we only have one small (and protected) species where i live.
The thing is i used to have snakes for pets a long time ago and yesterday i cleaned out the fridge i found 3very pretty corpses in the far corner.
So now i at lest have skins for a couple of bows, too bad osage dont grow in sweden as it would match perfectly. The snake is called taiwan beauty snake (Elaphe taeniura friesi)And can be 8' long.

Those are nice.  I love the one with the stripe down it.  How long are they?

Okay, I am pretty much a collector of snake skins for future bows and those give me a serious case of snakeskin envy! Nice stuff!

Well we do have snakes down here... But that is one unique looking skin you have there. That's one of a kind.

I can't imaging just having one snake around..
