I got a couple pcs of this material at the classic from Jesse, I can't remember what he called them but they reminded me of a clam in shape, or a flying sauser. Two turtle backs with a rim around the middle, anyways the material inside was pretty an flaked real well, Maybe Shannon can tell me what kind of rock this was. Bob, he called it "Campbell Creek" he picked up those nodules at Fort Campbell and heated them. It's some type of Ft. Payne chert.

well, i live in rhode island, so i got lots to try from, who knows, if it works, i could go clam for a little, eat them then knapp them, wow sounds almost perfect ;D

Thanks Shannon, yep now I do remember Jesse refering it to Ft. Campbell. Truly strange looking nodules, I was thinking Rosewell :D :D

That stuf makes a nice looking point.
I'v never seen it befor and i found it deer hunting on Ft Campbell, and i'v only ever seen it in one spot and the good stuff all looks like that.
It is a type of fortpayn.
I named it "Campbell Creek"
