Nice bow and gesture, Ray. Will you give us some more specs on her. Pat

63"ntn shagbark hickory, first pics were May 12. I boiled the tips for 40 minutes, ran down stairs and bent the tips in my vise.My friend wanted a pistol grip that was a challenge but feels good.
I hope it shoots well ,I can't shoot left handed to save my life.
I used fibrings leather die for the color and 3 coats of spray spar urathane to finish.

Very well mannered bow Ray. Wish I could use "hic" down south here. Love the color ;).....bob

We get a lot of humidity up here to Bob( not bow friendly ) the spring and autumn I shoot hickory bows more often.

Beautiful Bow Ray, I've gotta try one of those recurves soon. Thanks
-
Very nice! reckon I'm going to have to recurve a hickory before too long - keep em coming.

Great job on that one, a real looker, looking forward to the full draw pics. Steve

Looks good yer friend will have a smile on his face when ya give him that baby.
-
Good lookin' bow, Mamba.
-
Great looking bow, the wood grain really looks nice with the stain. Could you include some pics of the full handle/fades area, I want to get a better feel for how you blended that section of the bow together. :)
-
Who gets in the picture with it cranked back?
-
Here's the full draw pics with my friend John Camponela. He shot well with it and thinks its closer to 52#.

Those limbs are bending nicely....He's a good shot too. Way to go Mamba.
-
Manny I may have lost some but not much.
Gregg ,sorry I no longer have the bow,the handle is one piece, there was heartwood on the heel of the bow that would of looked good if left natural.
Thanks all for the compliments.
-
All I can do is second all the good comments above, great job.

Good job. Well done. Jawge

Good pictures, Ray. Thanks. Got you bookmarked (unless you say otherwise) for June Self Bow of the Month

Nice bow, distinctive handle. Especially the lower end where you brought the belly up the fade flat. Was there something on the end of that fade? And the urethane looked very nice, mine never come out that smooth. Did you hit it with steel wool in between coats?
-
Very nice mamba,is the top limb longer than the bottom, may just be the picture but it looks a lot longer.Nice job. :)
