I got a stave of Kentucky Coffee bean, never lived anywhere that i could get this wood, but its was always part of my list of woods to get for bow making. so anyone with any info, let me here it! should i scrape it down to heartwood? or should i use the sapwood?.... i kinda imagine its like walnut or cherry where either sap or heartwood will work, but i would much prefer to use that darker heartwood for the bow. its it a tough piece of wood?, or its it again, a little weaker like walnut or cherry?
