Alwyas looking for new stuff to try out and got some agate at the local Gem and Mineral Show. Anybody ever work with slabbed agate? Does it need Heat treating? Opines?

Like Tim said. Depending on what it is, you can heat it from 400- 800. Brazilean is good around 400-425, some of the Western US agate is better at higher temperatures.
