Title: Trouble notching (picture)
Post by: flecha on April 11, 2011, 01:53:33 am
All "abo" tools. Overall happy with how this one turned out.  59.42 MM long, 22.65 MM wide, 5.11 MM thin.  Obsidian from mile post 77, Hwy 20, central Oregon.  I would have liked for the pictures to have shown flake detail better.  I need to practice my notching; I wish they were more symmetrical, even expanding.

not bad at all
especially for all abo tools
even Ishi used iron nails to get the narrow entry notches  ;)

You don't appear to be having any trouble at all, looks great to me. Smaller tools equals narrower notches if that's what your shooting for. Keep em coming..
