Title: another point
Post by: iowabow on April 08, 2011, 08:00:31 pm
I wanted to share this point with you all because it is the first time I removed more material during thinning than I wanted to.  I have been making 100 grain points for my hunting arrows. This one came in at 94 grains and this happened because I focused on thinning. All was going well so I just kept thinning happily going along not realizing that the thinning was dropping the wt so fast.

Yep, too thin and light.  You'll just have to retire it to my "Home for Frail Points".   ;D
