Title: Wood Scouting
Post by: Bevan R. on February 21, 2011, 10:06:09 pm
Just got back from Kansas. While visiting family, I attacked their 'Farm' and brought some wood back. Osage, Hickory, Oak, and a REALLY challenging ceder.
Other than trying to take my leg off with the chainsaw (the bleeding had stopped by the time we got the pickup loaded) and dropping the Osage on myself, turned out to be a good day. 8)

Thanks guys, got lucky (getting the wood and not doing anything really bad to the leg). New sister-in-law is a retired MD and took care of me all weekend. Leg is healing fine.\

I was planning on going back in late summer to get more wood. Is there anytime I should not cut?
